This Shakespeare quote comes to mind everytime I hear yet another panic call by the medical authorities to have everyone immunized. I can not remember when there was this much rhetoric about the evils of 'not' getting 'your flu shot'. 'Protect the ones you love' is their paraphrase, however, your best protection maybe in NOT getting a flu shot at all!
Here are questions to ask yourself or your doctor/nurse;
------ If the vacine is derived from last years flu strain, and if the virus has the capacity to mutate every 48 hours, then how am I going to get immunity?
------If we can derive immunity from last years strain that is vaguely related, then why do I have to take a shot every year? Wouldn't the flu shot I took 2 or more years ago have the same chance of giving me immunity?
-----What long term studies have been done on the safety of this vacine? How can any long term studies be done on a product that was developed just one year ago?
-----Is there a mandatory reporting of adverse side effects to medical authorities?
-----Are patients being made aware of all the ingredients that are inside the injection, as well as the virus? Many people can react to the toxic soup of chemical preservatives and stabilizers including Mercury and Formaldehyde.
The flu is a serious recurrent health problem. However, the very best way to protect ourselves is by having our own immune system remain as strong as possible. By taking yearly flu shots, we run the risk of suppressing the stimulation of a strong natural response to new diseases. For example, we have seen that the inappropriate use of antibiotics has lead to resistant 'superbugs'...could this happen here? In addition, as immuno-suppressed individuals are further weakened by injection of this toxic flu virus, ironically, they could become more suseptible to other diseases like cancer, colds, asthma, and bacterial infections.
Research must be done to develop a safe and effective method of protecting the weak and debilitated. However, there are many questions to answer before mass immunization is approved. However, until such time, I must question the motives (read profit) of those who are zealous proponents of mass immunization. As the old saying goes..... the fewer the facts , the stronger the opinion.
